Raised in a humble background, Karin discovered her passion for music early, singing in her church choir and local events while working on apple farms in her hometown. In 2005, she captivated South Africans with her moving renditions throughout Idols SA, ultimately winning the competition with an overwhelming 65% of the final votes.
Her debut single, “I’m So Ready,” became an instant success, showcasing her blend of pop, soul, and R&B influences.
